Torres is a discovery person, and the habit on show here is a discovery habit. She uses the agent to widen the options before she commits: it offers her three ways to structure an article, and she compares them, which she says she would never have done on her own.
That's the useful division for product work. The risk isn't that AI writes a bad spec. It's that you produce more artefacts, faster, and do less thinking. She keeps the writing, because writing is how she works out what she thinks. She hands over the research, the alternatives and the checking.
The rest is delegation, and she was good at it before any of this. Ten years of writing down how she does things so someone else could do them her way. The agent gets the same treatment: capture the context the first time you explain it, and ask at the end of a session what should be added.
Try it on your own week. Three lists: what you'd automate, what you'd do alongside it, and what you'd keep because doing it is how you think. The first five days of an AI teammate is where we wrote ours down.
